– Bhotia dog history refers to the ancient Bhatia breed of dogs. This breed originated from Bhatia, located in what is now in Pakistan. It was around 200 years ago when Bhatia dogs began coming into Kashmir. During those days, these dogs were used as herding dogs, being used to herd cattle.
– The earliest known Bhotia came from Pakistan. This breed appears to have been bred by Pakistanis, possibly as a means of hunting feral goats. They were later introduced to the rest of the world.
