Can Dogs Eat Peanuts?

The proteins found in peanuts can be dangerous to dogs and even fatal in some cases. 

However, dry-roasted (or raw), unsalted peanuts are the only peanuts safe for dogs to consume. 

Peanuts that are still in the shell are also safe for dogs, as long as they are unsalted.

Dogs that have eaten peanuts may experience difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, and vomiting. In severe cases, dogs may go into shock and die.
